The Natural Coconut Oil extracted from the kernel of fresh coconuts is harvested from Organic Coconut Plantations in Sri Lanka. These plantations are certified as organic under international EU Organic Law Regulation.

All field units and processing units are inspected by Control Union Inspectors and is also supplemented by regular inspections of the Internal Controlling System (ICS) Team. The ICS Team monitors every step along the field and factory production chain.

Process of the extraction:

Organic Virgin Coconut Oil can only be achieved by using fresh coconut meat.  Chemicals and high heating are not used in further refining. It is cold pressed.

Accreditations

The approval granting certificate obtained by us is USDA-NOP, and has been
issued by the Control Union in Sri Lanka. This is affiliated to the Control Union in the Netherlands. Coconut Miracle is Certified Organic with the UK Soil Association.

Our Story:

Sri Lankans for hundreds of generations have been consuming coconuts in
their diets. The coconut is used in variety of ways. Nothing is wasted.

The husk can be used as fibre or lit in the hearth. Fibre brooms or ropes
are made as cottage industries.

Charcoal is made from the shell. Charcoal is also exported. Doctors still use it today as a healing agent, an antidote for poisons, and an effective treatment for indigestion and gas.

Modern Industry also relies on charcoal to deodorize, decolorize and purity solutions.

The kernel of the young coconut makes a delicious fruit to eat.  The water also makes a refreshing drink.

In the villag
es, every small garden has at least 2-3 coconut trees.  With the turn of the 21st century, where women have started going to work to supplement the salaries of their husbands, many women go to work in the neighbouring coconut estates.  Often the cadjan is given to the women who use it for heating or as shelter for their roofs or sometimes to
secure the perimeter of their land.

There are now females being employed as:- lab technicians, cleaning personnel, accountants, clerical hands etc.  They are happy to work close to their homes.

Community Building

In addition to providing village folk especially women work, we assist with the educational facilities such as supplying children with school books and other amenities.

Furthermore, on a monthly basis we offer monthly dry rations to the family. The package consists of rice, gram, sugar, flour, tea leaves, milk powder  - this helps the workers feed their families without the additional pressure of having to utilise their wages to purchase monthly rations.
